A PhD in Chemistry with 0-1year experience or an MS degree in chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of experience in organic synthesis including synthetic methodology, catalysis, and / or total synthesis along with a proven track record of solving problems.
Software - ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Must have synthetic organic chemistry experience.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when documenting experiments.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Willing to work in a collaborative manner as a part of a team.
Solid critical thinking skills.
Significant experience in synthesis, purification and analytical characterization including HPLC, MS, and NMR.
Experience in DOE design and process characterization.
Nice to have - experience in industry pharma/Agro-chemical.
Project Description:
The Process Research and Development department of the Client' s Research Laboratories has a research chemist position available in the Rahway, New Jersey research facility.
It is a laboratory-based role to support process development.
The Client is seeking a candidate with experience in organic chemistry, organic synthesis, methodology/catalysis (including chemocatalysis, biocatalysis and heterogeneous catalysis), total synthesis, physical organic chemistry, or flow chemistry, along with a proven track record of solving problems.
This 6+ month position starts ASAP.
