QUALITY MANAGER PLAINFIELD, IL Project Description:
North America (NA) Technical plays a key role in achieving Supply' s goal to become a Best-in-Class CPG Company.
The Supplier Performance Specialist role is part of the North America Quality team within NA Technical responsible for delivering technical expertise, drives supplier performance, and promotes brand reputation by collaborating with all teams within the supply chain to deliver impactful, high-quality ingredients & components.
The purpose of the role is to ensure the Client' s supplier standards are maintained and improved upon from end to end within the supply chain.
This involves building strong cross-functional relationships across Technical, procurement, the Client' s conversion sites, and their diverse supplier base.
This role provides leadership in ensuring quality to safeguard the technical equity of their core brands and provides relevant expertise within North America.
As part of the end-to-end supply chain, NA Supply has an extensive network of wholly owned and Third-Party Operation sites across the US and Canada.
In North America, the Client owns and operates a network of manufacturing, bottling, distilling and warehousing sites.
NA Technical is an organization of 100 people with a $25M budget, operating across several locations within the US and Canada.
From these locations NA Technical manages the Technical Equity for the Client' s NA Supply and Demand across their portfolio, and for their core North American brands globally.
Champion the Client' s Supplier performance process by working in partnership with their conversion sites and suppliers on MIR concerns.
Manage the MIR escalation process for MIR' s aging 30 – 60 days past due at the Client' s operation sites.
Oversee and enhance the Supplier Certification program.
Host supplier scorecard meetings for top packaging procurement categories.
Prepare and analyze MIR data for SMEs and active RCPS initiatives.
Collaborate with procurement and technical SMEs on current or upcoming projects.
Serve as Quality representative for supplier Quarterly Business Reviews.
Prepare and present weekly/monthly reporting for quality KPI reports.
Bachelor' s degree in a Technical / Science discipline (Quality/Food Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
1-3 years' experience in Packaging, Manufacturing, and/or Quality related roles of increasing responsibility within the Food & Beverage Consumer Packaged Goods businesses.
Strong knowledge of packaging performance related to packaging quality along with demonstrated understanding of manufacturing environments and their associated complexities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with ICIX, Informance, and SAP a plus.
