SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER IN PHARMACEUTICAL PHOENIX, AZ 100% Onsite. PM experience with Technology Transfers, (preferably aseptic drug product).
Project Description:
The Sr. Project Manager is a contractor position responsible for managing diverse and complex Drug Products Technology Transfers project activities within the scope of the Phoenix Liquid Filling Expansion (LiFE) program.
The Sr. Project Manager will lead a multifunctional team in the execution of the operational readiness activities from product characterizations up to regulatory approvals and commercial manufacturing startup.
Coordinates cross-functional efforts for the development of an achievable and comprehensive plan, flawless execution, and successful closure of the
project according to established scope, quality, timeline and budget criteria.
The Sr. Project Manager identifies critical path barriers and risks and works with the multifunctional project team in the development of contingency plans, risks mitigation, issues escalation and resolution.
This position requires a timely and clear communication to site management using executive progress reports, risk registry, lessons learned and other client's Project Management tools.
The Sr. Project Manager leads the project team being an ambassador of the client's values: passion, innovation, urgency, accountability, integrity and inclusion.
This position supports business and compliance objectives by ensuring projects
and programs are aligned with the organizations' goals and strategies and follows client's Global Engineering and PMO guidelines.
This position will report to the site Associate Director, Project Management of the LiFE Program, and is expected to be on site full time.
Manage and lead cross-functional project and/or program teams.
Lead team meetings and ensure that meeting agendas and minutes are issued in a timely manner.
Drives the development and accomplishment of full-scale plans, timelines, costs and resource estimates with input from all required departments.
Ensure benefits, scope, goals, assumptions, and deliverables are well defined and understood by the team and stakeholders.
Addresses risks, decisions and issues by documenting, communicating or escalating to appropriate governance.
Ensure that communications between teams, functional management, senior management, and executive leadership are handled in an efficient, effective, and timely fashion.
Drive consistency in project management tools and templates in line with the client's PMO best practices.
Generate project charters and change controls and get those through the approval/completion cycle.
Proactively manage changes in scope, budget, identify potential issues and devise contingency plans, escalate potential impact on plans and timelines, and ensure execution to closure.
Foster high performance teamwork and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Responsible for capture and communication of key learnings between existing and future project teams taking advantage of available knowledge management tools.
Negotiates and agrees with all pertinent parties, to ensure that adequate resources are in place to meet the project's goals and timeline.
Assures compliance with client's current GMP, procedures and corporate guidelines.
Demonstrate leadership, team skills, self-confidence and effective decision making throughout the project.

Required Skills:
B.S. Or B.A. In Engineering, Pharmacy, supply chain, science or technical disciplines, or an allied business function.
High understanding of Pharma or life sciences manufacturing processes, cGMP practices, regulatory health authority CMC requirements.
10 years relevant work experience in Life Science/Pharma/BioPharma manufacturing industry and project management.
At least 5 years of Project Management experience with Technology Transfers projects preferable experience with Aseptic Drug Product Technology Transfers.
PMP or similar professional certification highly desirable.
Lean sigma knowledge and expertise is highly desirable.
Proficiency with project management and Microsoft tools, e.G., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
Advanced critical reasoning, negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills must be able to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with high level of accountability.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment.
High organization skills with ability to multi-task several objectives in parallel.
People and project management skills.
