MATERIAL HANDLER
SEATTLE, WA
100% Onsite
Pay ranges between $24 to $25.48 per hour.
Project Description:
- The primary focus of the Lab Materials Coordinator-Associate II is to serve as the main point of contact for deliveries to and from Dexter site in Seattle.
- As part of the Supply Chain group the Lab Materials Coordinator-Associate II will help facilitate the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods within the Dexter building located in Seattle.
- Serves as escort, assisting with delivery personnel for unloading and loading of Juno materials.
- Support lab staff with any material needs / inquiries.
- Assist with time and temperature sensitive material to ensure the correct delivery to storage location occurs within a timely manner.
- Perform daily Cycle Counts on Dexter stocked material.
- Work closely with researchers to fulfill warehouse Raw Material Requests.
- Receive and manage all lot-controlled material.
- Ability to build effective relationships within the company across several departments.
- Must be able to work as a service provider to multiple intracompany clients and departments.
- Unpack applicable deliveries, verify accuracy of shipment and perform receiving transactions in ERP (Oracle) system and put away to appropriate warehouse location.
- Collect packing slips and electronically receive them after verification of proper delivery.
- Maintain a neat and organized warehouse space.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; bend; stretch; use hands and fingers, with various manipulations; reach with hands and arms; and effectively communicate with others in the workplace, including the ability to make and promptly respond to audible cues and warnings.
- Work in areas that may have strong magnets.
- May work in areas with exposure to vapor phase liquid nitrogen.
- May work in areas with exposure to chemicals and viral vectors.
- Must have ability to work assigned shifts (Day, Night, Weekends and/or holidays).
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily.
- This may include, but is not limited to safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hairnets, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Require working in and around laboratories and controlled, enclosed, restricted areas, including clean rooms.
- Require carrying and/or lift to 50 pounds several times a day.

Required Skills:
- Associate's or B.S Degree or 3 years of experience in science, or related warehouse field may be accepted.
- 1 to 3 years of material handling experience is required.
- Proficiency utilizing Excel and related inventory management software is key.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud, SAP).
This 12+ month position starts ASAP.
