Broadridge is hiring! We are looking for a Business Analyst to work remotely on contract basis. The BA will drive the collation, creation and maintenance of various types of business and user documentation. This individual will work with the Business, IT and functional partners and senior leads to gain and analyze business requirements and build crucial business documents, including but not limited to business requirements documents, user stories, process flow documentation, user documentation, etc. This individual will take direction from their teams Product Owner who will assign a book of work for the BA to independently maintain with escalations to the Product Owner. We expect this person to assist with project management related tasks, such as meeting management, project plans/tracker maintenance, help with crafting status updates, etc.
The successful candidate will be required to help build and maintain various types of user documentation, including but not limited to internal and external user guides, product configuration documents, standard architecture documents, standard operating procedures, Quick reference guides, etc. To support BR support of implementations.
This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.
Job Responsibilities:
o Use analytical and interpersonal skills, to reconcile conflicts, cope with rapidly changing information, convert high-level information into detailed requirements
o Create detailed business requirements documents and work closely with the development teams to ensure products meet the business needs
o Document functional specifications, conversions, upgrades, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflow.
o Act as liaison and participate in defining technology solutions to tackle sophisticated, multidisciplinary business problems with long-term implications.
o Recommend solutions to improve business decision-making with a focus on the core systems, technology strategies and standards.
o Facilitate and lead where applicable requirements design and grooming with Business and Technology
o Work with end-users to define and execute test scenarios and ensure appropriate end user training.
o Work with the product management, user community, various technical groups (on and off shore) and vendors in the development of functional and technical specifications.
o Assist in the preparation for implementation and alignment to standards and procedures for application installs.
o Timely communication of project statuses
o Resolve requirements related issues and escalate to Product Owner(s) as needed
o Digest, prioritize and implement scope as defined by Product Manager Leadership
o Provide mentorship to other BA Team members
o Ability to read tech specs and config manuals and get up to speed quickly on a new application
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree (Master's/MBA a plus)
o Minimum 10 years of BA experience with solid understanding of Project Management
o 5+ years with a financial services firm conducting business analysis on brokerage applications
o SME in brokerage products, operations, and risk management
o Knowledge of Trading regulations and reporting (FINRA, SEC, CATS)
o Working understanding of order execution systems, and buying power rules
o An advocate for simple, effective product designs to enable optimal customer experience
o Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion
o Background Interfacing with a development team to deliver quality products that meet market needs
o Extensive experience building intuitive navigation and UX for FAs
o Strong empathy for customers and an unwillingness to compromise on user-centered design
o Track record of building successful (financial) products using data, customer feedback, common sense, and/or machine learning
o Some technical experience in software development preferred
o Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills
