Project Description:
Our client seeks a highly motivated cell and molecular biology contractor to join our Oncology Discovery research team within the Oncogenesis Thematic Research Center (TRC) which specializes in protein homeostasis and targeted protein degradation.
Help develop and implement cell assays to support target identification and validation.
Conduct studies aimed at enhancing our comprehension of the on-target/off-target mechanisms of lead novel compounds.
Take responsibility for 2D/3D model and assay development.
The successful candidate should have strong technical skills, particularly in mammalian cell culture, CRISPR, and 3D cell models.
The candidate should also possess the ability to quickly learn new protocols and effectively implement changes to enhance them.
The candidate must be able to effectively demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills.
Conduct target validation studies across a diverse range of oncology models, using CRISPR and tool compound approaches .
Perform organoid model development and maintenance .
Employ FACS and Western blots for cell analysis.
Perform dose-response curve experiments to assess drug efficacy .
Maintain and passage 2D/3D patient-derived tumor lines .
Perform gene editing and various molecular techniques to characterize edited cells.
Oversee the cryopreservation of tissues and cell lines to ensure proper storage .
Adhere to company regulations by meticulously maintaining precise and comprehensive laboratory notebooks and other records .
Write laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures in a clear and concise manner .
Perform a wide variety of basic molecular biology procedures .
Assist team members with house-keeping tasks .
Required Skills:
M.Sc. Degree in the biological sciences with 0-2 years of hands-on cell and molecular biology experience .
B.Sc. Degree with 2+ years of hands-on cell and molecular biology experience .
Solid hands-on experience with fundamental cell biology techniques such as:
Mammalian cell culture (3D culture experience is a plus) .
Plate-based assays such as CTG, apoptosis, Incucyte .
Cryopreservation .
Proficiency in essential molecular biology techniques such as:
Transfection and viral transduction techniques (overexpression, CRISPR KO) .
Western blotting .
Flow Cytometry .
Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience with 3D culture techniques .
Attention to detail and ability to perform delicate manual tasks in a laboratory .
Enthusiasm and demonstrated ability to learn and apply new laboratory techniques, skills, and instrumentations .
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team .
Strong communication skills (effectively conveying problems, protocols, and results to colleagues through clear written and verbal communication), and ability to maintain meticulous and comprehensive records .
Strong determination to drive projects to successful completion .
Able to effectively interact with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and contribute to team goals .
Fluency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and FlowJo .
ProteinSimple WES/JESS is a plus .
